Jenis-Jenis Tulisan Khat

Assalamualaikum...Sempena hari Jumaat yang mulia ini, aku ingin kongsikan sedikit berkenaan jenis-jenis Tulisan Khat yang telah wujud di dunia ini. Ada sebahagian pernah kita jumpa dan kenali dan sebahagiannya langsung tidak kita kenali. Sebenarnya, penulisan dibawah ini adalah antara isi kandungan Thesis Master yang sedang aku buat. Dengan perkongsian ini, aku harap dapatlah kita memanfaatkannya... Insya ALLAH.

Types of Jawi Calligraphy
Jawi Script is a elastic script, flexible and rhythmic. It's easy and can be expanded in various variations. Character by character contain the beauty, aesthetic style that could have easily composed and it is beautifully. Jawi writing constantly evolving over the ages with a variety of interesting shapes.

Kufi Calligraphy/Khat Kufi



Kufi calligraphy originated from Kufa is the oldest form of calligraphy in the history and development of calligraphy. It existed during the reign of Caliph Ali ibn Abi Talib. Kufi calligraphy that angular shaped much been use as a decorative at mosques wall, portal, prayer towers, domes in bas-relief, decorative books, magazines, posters and banners. What is more interesting is, the first Qur'an also written in Kufi Calligraphy form (Che Man Che Siah, 2007).


Nasakh Calligraphy/ Khat Nasakh



Naskh Calligraphy was completed in beautiful shape by Arabic Calligrapher, Al-Wazir Abu Aly Muhammad Ibn Muglah and his brother Abu Abdullah al-Hassan. Both were created rules for Naskh Calligraphy writing by determining the length of the short and letter spacing, as well as the style and melody closely.Naskh Calligraphy is clear and easy to read has been used to writing academic books. Naskh Calligraphy and Tsuluts Calligraphy very little difference used to write the verses of the Quran, Al-Hadith and Islamic religious texts (Che Man Che Siah, 2007).

Tsuluts Calligraphy/ Khat Thulus



Tsluts Calligraphy is quite similar to nasakh Calligraphy. It is often used for writing Quran Mushaf, book titles and decorations (Che Man Che Siah, 2007).

Raihani Calligraphy/ Khat Raihani



Raihani Calligraphy similar to Tsuluts Calligraphy, but somewhat widened the letters long and filled with decorative signs (Che Man Che Siah, 2007).

Pharisees Calligraphy/ Khat Farisi



Pharisees Calligraphy was developed by Arabic calligraphy members who lived in Persia. It is styled in the form of letters that slant slightly to the right. It is widely used for writing books of literature, the name and essay title in magazines, newspapers and others. This Calligraphy is widely used in Persia, Pakistan and Turkey. Urdu Script is often written with the Pharisees Calligraphy (Che Man Che Siah, 2007).

Riq'ah Calligraphy/ Khat Riq'ah



Riq'ah Calligraphy is a type was created by the Turkish Calligrapher during the reign of 'Ottoman 850AH . Their main purpose is to synchronize the calligraphy writing used in all official transactions among government employees.Riq'ah according to dictionary is a written piece of paper. A particular feature of this calligraphy is a small form, easier and can be written quickly. As a result, Riq'ah Calligraphy has been used in higher education such as the University of Al-Azhar and Darul Ulum in Cairo. In addition, it is also used in military and logistics in the golden age of Islam in Europe.

Riq'ah Calligraphy use in our society more focused on writing and notes only, whereas the Naskh calligraphy are so widely used, particularly in the publication of books, magazines and newspapers (Che Man Che Siah, 2007).


Diwani Calligraphy/ Khat Diwani


Diwani calligraphy evolved from Khat Riq'ah form makes intricate letters. The writing was used in government offices in the Islamic government in Egypt which at that time under the reign of Sultan Khedewy around 1220 H and beyond. 
At that point, Calligraphy Diwani used for writing official letters, letter decision, letter agreements, letters of appreciation, charters and others. Diwani Calligraphy get their name derived after the name of the government office is 'Diwan Malaky'. So, all the letters issued them called Diwani Letter and that script they are used called Diwani Calligraphy. Among the members of the famous Diwani Calligrapher is Hamdullah Sheikh Al-Ansary, Jalal and Al-Hafiz Usman.
Diwani calligraphy is rounded and curved. It is written in a soft and malleable according to the requirements of the calligrapher. Privileges can be seen in Diwani Calligraphy art form that curved and skilled Calligrapher to create this calligraphy is soft and conform to rules (Che Man Che Siah, 2007).

    2. Ermm...betul2. tapi, jns yg mana satu yer tulisan asal al-Quran kita? sebab satu masa dulu penah jadik issue...itupun sblm wujudnya resm uthmani. Thanks atas info ni...bukan apa, wan suka jugak amik tau.

  12. Alice cuma tahu buat Khat Nasakh je...(dulu belajar kat sekolah agama jadi tau sikit, tapi selain daripada Khat Nasakh tak pernah belajar...)

  19. teringat zaman sekolah menengah dulu, nina dapat A kot untuk tulisan khat nih. hehe. memang minat gila buat tulisan nie. guna pensel. tajam2kan pensel. huuu.syok!

  22. Hehe~ teringat dulu pernah beberapa kali masuk pertandingan tulisan khat. Pernah jugak menang beberapa kali. Rindu nak buat tulisan khat lagi.. :)
